Director of Residential Lending
Monson Savings Bank is currently seeking a Director of Residential Lending, responsible for managing the Residential and Consumer Lending Department, staff, and operations. Reporting to the Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, this position is responsible for all aspects of the residential and consumer lending and servicing functions and serves as a member of the Bank’s senior management team.
This Exempt, Full-time position works within the Loan & Operations Center located at 75 Post Office Park, Wilbraham, MA.
Salary Range: $140,000 - $180,000
Some of the position responsibilities include:
- Responsible for managing the origination, processing, underwriting, closing and servicing of all residential and consumer loans in compliance with all federal and state banking regulations.
- Development of products and services in the residential and consumer loan areas.
- Planning, developing, and reviewing of written policies and procedures pertaining to the residential and consumer loan functions.
- Identifying technology needed to grow the residential and consumer lending business, maintaining operating efficiencies and controlling costs associated with residential and consumer lending.
- Develops and recommends policies and standards governing origination, servicing, underwriting, processing, and closing activities. Ensures that all loans are made in compliance with federal and state regulations. Monitors credit and documentation standards to guarantee quality control.
- Develops, administers, and monitors the Bank’s residential and consumer lending compliance program.
- Ensures the Bank’s collection activities and practices align with internal standards and policies and adhere to regulatory requirements.

Experience/Skills: A preferred applicant is a professional, customer service and team-oriented manager with extensive knowledge of the banking industry, secondary market, and residential and consumer loan operations. Extensive knowledge of mortgage loan products, Fannie Mae underwriting guidelines, Federal and State regulations. Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills are required. Must be adaptable, reliable and possess the ability to work successfully in a team environment; with proven management, leadership and supervisory skills and experience. Strong attention to detail with ability to prioritize and manage time and multiple responsibilities.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and minimum 10 years of related residential and consumer lending/servicing experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
