Director of Residential Lending
Monson Savings Bank is currently seeking a Director of Residential Lending, responsible for managing the Residential and Consumer Lending Department, staff, and operations. Reporting to the Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, this position is responsible for all aspects of the residential and consumer lending functions and serves as a member of the Bank’s senior management team.
This Exempt, Full-time position works within the Loan & Operations Center located at 75 Post Office Park, Wilbraham, MA.
Some of the position responsibilities include:
- Development of products and services in the residential and consumer loan areas.
- Planning, developing, and reviewing of written policies and procedures pertaining to the residential and consumer loan functions.
- Identifying technology needed to grow the residential and consumer lending business, maintaining operating efficiencies and controlling costs associated with residential and consumer lending.
- Conducts external calls and cultivates relationships with realtors, attorneys, and other centers of influence to enhance new business opportunities and increase the Bank’s visibility.
- Develops and recommends policies and standards governing origination, underwriting, processing, and closing activities. Ensures that all loans are made in compliance with federal and state regulations. Monitors credit and documentation standards to guarantee quality control.
- Develops, administers, and monitors the Bank’s residential and consumer lending compliance program.

Qualifications/Skills: Preferred applicant is a professional, customer service-oriented manager with extensive knowledge of the banking industry, secondary market, and residential and consumer loan operations. Must have extensive knowledge of mortgage loan products, Fannie Mae underwriting guidelines, Federal and State regulations. Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills are required. Must be adaptable, reliable, and possess the ability to work successfully in a team environment; with proven management, leadership, and supervisory skills and experience. Strong attention to detail with ability to prioritize and manage time and multiple responsibilities required.
Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree and minimum 10 years of related residential and consumer lending experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
